About Us

Frerichs Farm is a family owned and operated retail nursery and farm located on the scenic Kickemuit River in Warren Rhode Island. 

Since 1986, we have offered quality annuals, perennials and vegetables lovingly grown in 11 greenhouses. We pamper the seedlings all winter and open in mid-April for the season.

In the fall, Frerichs Farm is invaded by giant pumpkins, and each Columbus Day Weekend hosts the Southern New England Giant Pumpkin Grower’s Annual Weigh-off. Throughout the fall months, the pumpkin coach ride, Windy River Junction town, and pumpkin patches are open for children’s enjoyment.

Each winter, David spends the holiday season creating custom-made pieces, much as Barbara does in the spring. The Gift Shop is filled with holiday gifts and ornaments. Each year Frerichs closes at the beginning of January to begin planting and planning for reopening in April.

In 1995, we opened “The Barn” Gift Shop. It's filled to the rafters (literally) with seasonal gifts and gardening items. Starting each fall, The Loft is transformed into a Winter Holiday Wonderland with home décor and other special treats. We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and quality, and continue to strive to create a memorable shopping experience.
